Welcome to Henrie. These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply between you (the user) and Henrie Ltd ("Henrie", "we", "our", or "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16478363, with its registered office at 3 Vernon Street, Derby, DE1 1FR, United Kingdom.
These Terms govern your use of the Henrie app, website (at henrie.co.uk), and any related services (collectively the "Services") which are provided by us to you. You should read these Terms alongside the Henrie Privacy Notice which tells you how we collect and handle your personal data. Please familiarise yourself with all of these terms and conditions.
By using the Services, creating an account or accessing our website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Services.
If you have any questions about these Terms or how we deliver the Services to you, please contact us at:
Email: support@henrie.co.uk
Address: 3 Vernon Street, Derby, DE1 1FR, United Kingdom.
To use the Henrie Services, you must:
You are responsible for keeping your account details, password, and contact information up to date and secure.
The Henrie app and website allows you to view, monitor, and receive analysis of energy data from smart metering equipment connected to your property (“Your Equipment”). We provide this Service by linking your Equipment to the Henrie data platform so that we can collate your energy data and present information to you via the Henrie app.
The Service is provided for informational purposes only and aims to help users better understand their energy usage patterns. The Service is not linked to your energy supplier’s billing processes.
Connection to the Henrie data platform is available to residential users in the Great Britain only. If your smart meter equipment is ineligible or we cannot verify your information, we may be unable to complete the setup – in which case we cannot provide the Service to you.
To provide our Services, Henrie requires your consent to access and process energy data from your Equipment. By creating an account and connecting your equipment, following the process in the app or website, you authorise us to collect and display this data through the app and website. We will make it clear in the set-up process that you are giving your consent to process your data in this manner.
Your personal and energy usage data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (see link above), which explains how we collect, store, share and use your information.
You may cancel your account and/or stop using the Service at any time by contacting support@henrie.co.uk from your registered email address. This can either be directly or through the supporting feature in the app.
When we receive notice of your cancellation, we will disconnect your smart meter from the Service and delete your personal data linked to your account in line with our Privacy Policy. We will aim to do this as soon as practicable within 3 working days; please note this may take a few days to process as we do not operate a 7-day support service.
Deleting the app from your device (ie smart phone) does not automatically cancel your Service — you must contact us to formally delete your account. Account deletion is most easily actioned within the Henrie app settings.
You must use the Services for your own personal use and information, as set out in these Terms. You must not: • Use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purposes. • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or damage the Services or any of the Henrie systems and servers. • Upload or transmit viruses, worms, or other harmful code. • Use the Services to mislead, impersonate, or post false information. • Use the Services in any way that may damage or impair performance or availability, or may cause us (or our suppliers) to be in breach of any laws or regulations.
If we suspect that you are using the Services in breach of these Terms, we reserve the right to disconnect your Equipment from our systems and cancel the Services to you.
We aim to ensure the Services are available and functioning correctly. However, we do not guarantee that the app, website, or our data platform will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. Occasional downtime may occur for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We will use reasonable efforts to notify users of any planned maintenance and outages where possible.
The data and insights displayed through the Henrie app and website are provided for information purposes only. While we take reasonable care to ensure accuracy, the data is dependent on information received from your smart meters and third-party systems. We cannot guarantee that data will always be complete, accurate, or up to date.
If you have any queries or issues with your home energy (such as billing and costs), these should always be raised with your energy supplier.
Henrie Ltd owns or is licensed to use all intellectual property rights in the Henrie brand, app, website, software, and all related materials. You may only use our intellectual property rights to access and use the Services as set out in these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of our Services without prior written permission from Henrie Ltd.
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis and for information only. We make no warranties or guarantees (express or implied) regarding the performance of the Services, the data or insights provided to you through the Services or suitability for your needs.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded by law.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and/or your access to the Services with reasonable notice if: • You breach these Terms in any way. • We discontinue or materially alter the Services. • We are required by law or regulatory authority to suspend or withdraw the Services.
If we cancel your account, we will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our Services may integrate with or link to third-party tools and platforms (such as analytics, hosting, or smart meter system providers). We ensure your data is handled and protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy, but we are not responsible for services provided by the third-parties.
Please note that, in order to provide our services, Henrie utilises a third party data service. This service is provided to us by n3rgy data Limited (https://n3rgy.com ) in order to connect and interface with the national smart meter systems. This allows us to collect, store and manage your smart meter energy data so that we can provide the Henrie Services to you. This data service uses the Smart Energy Code (https://smartenergycodecompany.co.uk/) Party credentials and Party ID of N3RGY DATA LIMITED, incorporated and registered in England and Wales with the company number 11712674 whose registered office is at Prennau House Copse Walk, Pontprennau, Cardiff, Wales, CF23 8XH.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. Updated Terms will be posted on henrie.co.uk and within the app. Please make sure you review these terms from time to time. We will bring any significant changes to your attention. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You and Henrie agree that the English courts will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Services.
• These Terms are personal to you and cannot be transferred to another person without our consent. • Each section of these Terms operates separately; if any part is found unlawful, the remainder will continue in effect. • Failure by Henrie to enforce any right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
